98 ACCORD HIGH BEAMS DO NOT WORK...
I have a 98 Accord LX 4 cyl.
I'm having a bit of headlight trouble. I have checked all bulbs high/low all new. Now the problem is as follows:
When I turn on my headlights the low beams work, but when I put the high beams on, they do not work. I get the interior blue high beam symbol. So I only have low beams. And also sometimes the low beam passenger will go out as well, but with a wiggle of the wire it goes back on.
Trying to figure out what could be the problem. Like I said, all new bulbs. I have checked for any loose wires and encountered none. Just give me an idea as to what to check and what to check for. \\
Also, are the wiring harness and such connected with the engine wiring harness? If there is a short of some sort, would it be worth it to get a new engine harness if the headlight wiring harness is apart of it? I can get one for 50 bucks.
Thanks.

are these stock headlights or halos? also check fuses, highly unlikely both highbeams bulbs are bad, so its either wiring or fuses. Get an multimeter and see if your getting voltage when turned on, thats the best way to narrow this done to the switch. haynes manual is your friend

check to see if the inside of the plug connectors are burnt. (the ones that plug in to the bulbs them self) i had to replace both of mine awhile back.

i don't think it'd be fuses, im pretty sure that theres seperate fuses for both, well.. LH headlights are one and RH headlights are on the other.

as you can see this one is melted.
i went to autozone and bought a replacement that looks like this.
now both of my high beams work again.

I had the same problem with mine. Well, it was only one of the high beams that was not working. I had to change the daytime Running light module. It was quite the expensive part from what I can rememeber. However, it fixed the problem. You will need to call Honda to order the part.

theres only 2 FUSES it could be, both of which would still be good if his other headlights are on IIRC. Now GTFO and STFU n00b

im wondering if maybe the relay is shot? can you hear a click from under the hood when you turn them on?

CUT IT OUT! my gosh... how old are you? let it go. you keep holding onto that other thread where you two got into it, let it go. It seems to me that sony224422 is trying to help, like you, except he seems to have dropped any grudge between you two and you seem to keep dredging it back up. You two need to be able to get along when both posting in the same threads.
I'm getting tired of the silly bickering, it takes away from the main purpose of the thread.
you both have PM

Re: (cb1999nj)
im actually not sure how plug and play it is, but im thinking it would be. If you have a Helms see if you can find it because im not sure which it is. I'm thinking that the relay went because when I was having problems with my light beams, i could still hear the click so i knew there was power being given to them, but if theres no click then they relay is mostlikely shot, or its not recieving the power to switch.
