98 accord....battery connections or starter? Please Help
Hey guys
So last night after work, tried to start my car, and yes i got that dreaded click, click, clickkkk. I changed my starter about a month ago, so the first thing that came to mind was battery issues. So a friend came picked me up, took the battery and got it tested, and battery tested fine. The guy at auto zone told me it could possibly be my terminals since they were pretty loose, loose enough for me to pull off without unscrewing it. So came back changed the negative terminal, put it on, and still no starter. Left it overnight, called AAA this morning and the guy came, knocked on the starter and played with the starter wire with his jumper cables on, and after turning the keys about 6-8 times, it started. He told me that my ground cable was too tight and that i'd have to change the whole cable to give it more slack, so the battery can get more juice out of it, since I had to cut some of it off since the wires were corroded too. I came home, turned it off, and tried to start it and it didn't work. Later in the evening i played around with the battery cables and particularly the ground cables, and pushed the coils in harder into the terminal, and i saw sparks...tried to start the car, and it worked. Tried if a few more times, and worked again.
Now the situation im in now, is that could it be the starter? I noticed that after I pushed the coils in more, the car started very fast, almost as soon as i put the key in and turn it, and to me it seemed like the starter was fine. Something in my head was that it might have been starting since the guy hit it the starter this morning, so it might still be working. Also, when the times i tried starting the car, and it didn't start, it was weird bc right as I would turn the key, the radio would shut off completely. I was planning to change the battery terminal cables and get rid of the old rusted ones, but I don't want the car to not start again if it actually isn't just that issue. If you guys think its the starter, i'll take it off and go get it tested, but as you know that would be a pain in the rear end.....you guys have any suggestions? Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated!
p.s.- sorry for the long message....this situation has just been stressing me out to the max!

I'd cut to the chase and either change out both battery cables (or at least the ground cable). It sounds like a typical bad (High resistance) connection.
As a temp measure, try using sandpaper to break thru any corrosion on both the cable ends and the battery terminals and reassemble.
