I have a 97 Honda Accord EX and sometimes when I turn the key nothing happens but then I will let off it and try it again an the thing starts. When the car does start it starts right away there is no problems. But when I turn the key sometimes it just does nothing please help it just annoying and afraid that one day it wont start at all...Some info: I replaced the ignition coil b/c the tach problem and also replaced ignition rotor and distributor cap spark plugs and wires.

Re: 97 honda accord doesnt start
You may have an ignition switch or main relay problem. First make sure you have clean battery connections. Next time it happens, tap on the main relay and see if that makes it start. If so, you can try looking at the main relay connections by removing the main relay from the car and popping off the cover to remove the internals, then check the board for cracks in the soldering. if you see anything that looks like a crack or separation, resolder those connections. If it checks out okay, you may want to look into the ignition switch.
