97 Honda Accord alarm question
So I do not know what I did or what happened..
Usually, when I unlock the car with the keyfab, I turn the car on and everything is fine. As soon as I take the key out, the horn honks once and unlocks the doors. Now when I get out, the only way that I would lock it is if I do it manually. If I pressed the keyfab it would arm itself. If not, it would stay unlocked with no alarm. The red light on the dash would not blink, ever, and it would stay completely red the whole time I drive. That is what I always have and wanted.
So today now, when I turned the car on, everything was fine, but the red light was now off. When I turned off the car, there was no honk. As I was sitting in the car, the car honked TWICE and armed itself, and the light was blinking.
I dont want it to automatically arm itself like that. How do I stop that?
I like it not doing that incase the keyfob ever fails on me, the alarm wont be on.
Thanks

Re: 97 Honda Accord alarm question
I am assuming I somehow set the alarm to passive so it arms itself.
I dunno how I did that.
How would I go about taking that off and just having it active, when I ARM IT, like I use 2
My keyfob has 3 buttons but no words on it. I always use the middle button to lock and unlock, and to set the alarm. I do not know what the other 2 little buttons do. I am assuming I might have pressed two down or something and accidentally put on passive..
Any ideas?
