1997 Ex

I purchased an SMD light for my dome light, it works great and is very bright. My only gripe is that its pushed back a bit maybe due to the sun roof, so the back seat gets the majority of the light.
I never use my map lights so I figured I could wire them up to the dome light so they turn on when I open the doors or whenever the dome light is turned on.


Any tips on how to do so? Ive wired up a map light before, but it was on its own, not onto the dome light.

Just wire a paralell circuit from the dome light housing and route the wires above the headliner. Wire it into the "door" position of the switch.

Do I have to cut the wires on the map lights? Or can I tap into them?

Since you are wiring a parallel circuit you can just tap into them.

Ill give it a shot tonight. I already ordered the SMD's for the map so I hope it works!
