Default 97 EX stereo onto 94 LX?

Im replacing my moms 97 EX SE into my 94 LX accord..

The stereo wont turn on.

It will eject a CD.

Display wont go on.

I do have the stereo CODE from the original car.

Do i need to change something in the wiring or what?

Any ideas?

I put my 97 SE cd player into my 94 EX with no problem. It was just plug-n-play. Did the stereo work before taking it out of the SE? Also make sure you are turning it on before you try to enter the code.

Yeah. It's weird. It did work before.
It did plug in directly
I tried putting the code before turning it on.
After turning it on and nothing.

Don't know what to do.

Hit the **** first to turn the unit on then it will say "code." Enter the code and BAM, it's on.

I'm not home at the moment. I'll have to give it a try but I tried pushing the **** in and nothing. I'll try again.
I thought it turned on by turning it past a certain point.

It's the push on type radio. Push the button, then it comes on.

Check your fuses. I believe there's one called Backup Antenna/Radio.

It's possible you blew it.

The backup fuse I believe is under the hood in the fuse box, passenger side. Did you check that one also?

Humm... the only thing I can think of is you may have the wrong radio code. Is it possible to plug the radio/cd player back in the other car and try the code? If it works in there, then we will know that its something with the 94 LX. Also, double check that code, look on the side of the glove box in the car that the radio came from and there is sometimes a sticker there that has the same code that you have on that security card.

i would put it into the other car if it wasn't such a pain to get it in there.
(ive done it tons of times. its not too hard. but those shitty little dash kits are annoying. why dont they make them out of stronger plastic >.>)

oh well, ill have to leave it as is then. im selling the car anyway.
