Like the title says im putting an h23a1 into a 97 acura cl need help with what dizzy to use the stock harnees has a 5 wire triangular plug for the dizzy from a f22b1 2.2vtec how can i modify the 5 wire harness to work with the h23 a1 dizzy or is there another dizzy i can use with this motor. because the h23 a1 dizzy has 2 plugs on it and a total of ten wires between 2 plugs. the cl diizy has a 5 wire triangular plug i need help

Im bumping this for my friend who is doing the swap.Although i have some questions myself.I hav found out that the cl uses what they call a "single pickup distributor".But I want to know if the stock h23 harness will plug up with the existing harness coming out of the firewall of the cl.that way he could just use the stock h23 distributor and external coil not have to extend the wires and not have all of the excess wiring except for the knock sensor.We would really like to know any info,as the guy needs his car asap. The distributor is the only thing holding us up at this point as we don't want to go any further on the swap until this has been cleared up.

What about the F22Bx harness? will the F22Bx harness plug right up to the harness coming out from the chasis?? Reason I'm asking is because I re-used my F22B1 harness with my H22 and motor is a OBD2('96).

Yea we were planning on using the stock f22b1 harness from the CL but there is a 5 wire triangular plug and apparently there is some wiring modification to do since it is a hitachi distributor and not a TEC,But that the CKP and CYP wires need to be rerouted up by the distributor. Instead of having to buy a jdm internal coil distributor,I was wondering if we could wire up the regular h23a1 distributor and wire up the external coil on this thing, Please someone help us out Id love to finish this thing for the guy asap.

Wish I could help you. We'll just have to wait and see. I know a guy who did a H22 swap in his CL but he sold it.

Man dizzies can be a pain. There could be a dizzy that would actually fit the H23 but I don't know of it. From the sounds of it. I think your gonna have to mod it. You'll have to find out what each wire functions and then wire them. You probably could replace the pick ups, wires, and igniter with one from the specific application and mate the dizzy.
