97 Accord Dash lights, parking lights, tail lights not working
Had my after market radio jacked and replaced with a new one -- wires spliced with no harness. Sometime in the weeks that followed, I realized my dash back lights weren't working. I can't verify they are related as it was awhile before I drove at night. That's been two months ago. Dimmer **** doesn't work -- so yes I've checked that :-)
Tonight I find out my tail lights don't work. Checked the parking lights -- nothing works there either. Tried replacing the small lights fuse under the hood and it blew immediately.
Where do I start?

Thank you!! I found the offending wire and fixed it and now all is well! Love my HONDA...even at 312,000 miles :-)

I am having the EXACT same issue. I have been searching for the short for 2 weeks now. Which wire exactly was the one that kept shorting out the small lights fuse?

If you have an aftermarket stereo using an adapter plug, usually there is an orange illumination (dash light dimmer) wire that many people don't use, it should be taped up. But, other wires not properly insulated can also cause a short.
Another area of a possible short is the wire connector for the sun visor vanity mirror. A blown #32 (15A) under-hood fuse may be caused by a loose connector cover on the wire to one of the sunvisor vanity mirrors. To check it, remove the sunvisors, and look at the end of the RED/BLK vanity mirror wire. If the connector cover is loose, attach it to the wire with electrical tape.

You can also check if the stereo wiring is causing the short by unplugging the connections and see if your fuse still blows.

I have a 96 accord with a v6 and same thing happen to me. My cluster lights don't work and parking lights don't work either. My radio was messed around with like 2 weeks before to install my subs but none of the fuses are out that I know of I checked all the fuses and nothing.I bought a new fuses for the one that was out and it did nothing. What do I do

Have whoever installed it verify that all wires are either connected or capped off. Mine ended up being a wire that was dead when the key was off, but live when the key was one. It has been left loose and was shorting out.

Re: 97 Accord Dash lights, parking lights, tail lights not working
It was a bare wire left uncapped. Apparently a wire used for illumination in the original radio. Wire is hot only when the key is on so often thought of as dead and thus left uncapped/untaped. I taped it and had no more issues.
