Default 95 accord vtec how much transmission oil/fluid?

I'm gonna be changing out my bros axles tomorrow so I thought it was a good time to change out the tranny fluid as well. How much fluid does the tranny take? It is a 95 sohc vtec accord with a manual transmission. What is a good fluid to use? Should I just go with oil instead? 10-w40? TIA

Use standard 10 w 40 oil and fill it at the bolt in the tranny untill it comes out

Use Honda MT Fluid which should be similar to 10W30 or 40 if i remember. There should be a bolt underneath the passenger side axle. Fill that up with the fluid until it leaks out as integ said. Plug it up and then you should be good to go.

If you have'nt done it yet, use Honda MTF takes about 2 1/2 quarts, take the speed sensor off and put a funnel down the hole and fill. Better than pumping it in....

I might do that, but it's probably easier the old way with a tube to the fill hole and a funnel. Done it on my civic and I also did the speedo thing before, but I think it would be easier and faster just doing it with the tube and funnel way. Thanks though.

Yea, if you are just doing the tranny fluid, it is usually easier to do it through the real plug.
