Icon2 94 accord non vtec to vtec????

Hey guys well i tried searching for a topic similar to this........but i wanted to know what is needed to make my f22b2 a vtec??? is it a matter of swaping heads.....or would i have to get a new motor?? i was thinking to swap heads from a f22b1 to my f22b2 but would that work?

The short answer is yes, not much of a point though, as the head you have doesn't really flow any better or worse the the vtec head... Get a cam...

Whats the difference between the engines? Why would a VTEC be better?

so just a cam thanks.is that difficult to install?.... i always thought vtec would be better because it kicks in at a certain time right?

A cam is a pretty straight forward thing...just gotta make sure it's on time blah blah blah everything is torqued right afterwards

The vtec for Accords "kicks" in low, around 2500ish I believe, for economy. It doesn't perform as a B-series etc. does
