Default 94 Accord EX wiring bugs! Slightly confused.

Hey guys and gals. I bought a 1994 Accord EX (US model, no DRL) with a JDM H22A/non-LSD 5 speed swap.. I've worked out some of the kinks (reverse lights not working right, knock sensor wired backwards, O2 sensors burning out prematurely), however, two problems still plague me (one of which is failing it for inspection), and here they are:

1) My passenger side highbeam refuses to work.. I've googled this for weeks and get a DRL issue.. however.. I have a US spec 94 EX with NO DRL. Has anyone else had this issue? I've replaced all 4 bulbs (both low and both high).. placed the passenger side highbeam bulb in the driver side socket and it lights up, but none do in the passenger side highbeam socket. Replaced the socket, still no luck. Without this working.. I can't get it inspected.. no matter how much I bs them and tell them I don't even drive it at night..

2) Every time I connect a vacuum line to my EGR lift solenoid (I think that's what it's called), the car runs great for about 10 miles.. but then it starts to spit and sputter and stalls out when I put the car in neutral, or just hold the clutch in at red lights.. I've replaced the EGR lift solenoid multiple times and tried multiple ones (both Accord and Prelude).. this one confuses me, however, if I put in a vacuum Y-connector and run a vacuum line so it runs back into itself.. the car runs perfectly for an indefinite amount of time.

I know there are quite a few people here that are knowledgeable on these cars (searching before joining helped me with my FITV/jumpy idle problem) and I'm sorta new to Honda.

Did you check wires to the light.....one should have 12v, RED/ORN and the other should have continuty to ground, ORN/WHT

Once warm and at idle - are you getting vac on the line to the egr valve? Your post is a bit confusing as to what you are "looping" and that.....I think it is the #16 vac line on the egr valve....or was in OE set up. If someone got a vac line switched up in the swap and you are getting vac to the egr valve at idle.........

There's vacuum from the line going from the EGR vacuum solenoid.. but not from the line going TO the EGR. I did notice when I purchased the car that the vacuum lines on the EGR vacuum solenoid were backwards. When I get some free time today, I'll take some pictures of how the vacuum lines are hooked up so you can judge a little better than me.. considering this is my first Honda. But I do think I still have a vacuum leak somewhere.. I fixed the FITV and the constant jumpy idle went away, but after driving the car for so long when I stop at red lights, or let it idle while I run into a store or something, it comes back.

I haven't been able to find my multimeter to see if the plug is getting any kind of power. I'll have to borrow one from my buddy and see. However, when I turn the highbeams on and the drivers side kicks on, I can hear the relay clicking. Where do the wires run once they run into the driver's cabin? I'm wondering if there's a chance a wire could've been frayed somewhere in the drivers cabin that I can't see (i.e. behind the dash). I've pulled every single fuse and relay (and I do mean every single one) and they're all good.

Got a pic of what you are calling the egr solenoid?

Have you cleaned the egr ports...not the valve but the actual ports on the intake runners.......oh, wait- the engine is not factory>

It's a JDM H22A from a Japanese engine company. There's no way for me to get to the egr passages without drilling and tapping. Give me a few minutes and I'll post a picture to my "garage".

Never mind. It won't let me add any more to my garage until this trial user crap is done with.

Here's the EGR vacuum solenoid:

Here's a shot of the intake:

Ok so I have been showing him around the swap getting most of the bugs worked out. We have checked to make sure all vacuum lines in the egr system are clear of obstructions and its getting vaccum from the intake. I have a diagram of how the lines hook up on the lift solenoid and the diaphragm valve but im not sure how the lines go on the back side of the hard lines. Does the one from the intake go on the top or bottom hard line?
