Default 94-97 Fog Light DIY Harness?

So I managed to get my hands on 2 foglights for my 97 accord. However, they do not come with the harness. I got the FogLight button off ebay, but what about the relay?
How and where can I get the relay? Or can I not use it and DIY wire the fogs?
Thanks.

I am not sure about these lights but I DIY'd mine straight from the battery trough a switch I installed on my dash.
This allowed me to switch them on in any condition.
I used small diameter black Festo pneumatic tubing to "mask" the wires, this also added extra protection to it. (I had the hose laying around)

DO NOT make a circuit with no relay. Usually the switch alone can't handle the current for very long.

Unless you can find the harness or the connector for that switch you're going to have to DIY your own harness with a generic relay and switch.

Do you need help making the circuit?

Actually I was able to scavenge the parts. I ordered the relay from majestic honda and I got the switch and wiering from ebay. Waiting for it all to come in so I can see how it plays out. The fogs are depo fogs btw

OK. Just post up if you need any help. It's pretty straightforward, just zip-tie the harness to the existing harness where you can.

Well I did head that the 94-95 harness is a little different from 96-97.
My fogs are depo 96-97, but I think the harness I'm getting is from 94-95. Is it something to do with where it plugs in? I heard that oem plugs into underhood fuze box, and depo goes in interior fuze box?

Sorry, don't know. You should be able to look at the harness and determining which end is the actual light bulb connectors and then determine which box by length from the light bulbs.

I had no issues in the 8 years I owned the car until I sold it but it would be better to use a relay.
Should also have added that I didn't use an original switch but a problem proper one.

So I've got the fogs, the "harness", the relay and I'm waiting for the switch. However I think I'm missing something.

Inline fuse? Or is that it on the red wire from the relay?

That's on the line from the relay. I'm just confused where would be switch be attached to? And where does the other red wire go to

The red with the ring connecter should go to the battery positive. I bet that wire is going to either terminal 30 or 87 at the relay.

As for that other red wire, I think it goes to the switch. If so, you'll need to run a wire (with an inline fuse at the battery) to the other side of the switch. To confirm this, test for continuity from either terminal 85 or 86 to that other red wire.

Black w/ring connecter is ground.

EDIT: Just for ***** and giggles, test for continuity from the red w/ring connecter to the end of the other red wire while you're at it. That red w/ring connecter may power the whole harness just the power circuit of the relay.

Thanks for taking ur time and helping me with this

So black is ground, red wire on one side (let's call it red wire A) has a round end on it, as for inceserting it like into a button or something.
The other end of harness has blue, black and red wires which go into a 4 prong relay (804-1ac-c1).

TOP
RED Black
Blue Red

The new RED wire is thicker than the previous, has an inline fuse and goes to the battery.

So far, I will need to run another ground along with red wire A so I can plug them into the switch? I'm getting an OEM switch as well. I'm just curious about all these brown connectors and wih which plug into the fuze box. As far as I understand this is a plain On/off harness?
Thanks

Red wire with the ring will go to the under hood fuse box under the wire with a Philip screw (b+). ground is the wire that is between the fog lights with a ring connector long red wire to the switch and you will need a b+ from the inside fuse box to the switch.+. check that out with re battery before install. Could use a ohm meter to check the wires as I posted.

-All the blacks will be grounds and will be tied together. To be sure, check continuity between that black w/ring connector and each black wire.

-The blues will also be tied together. To be sure, check continuity between the blue wire at the relay and the blue wire at each light.

-This is where it gets a little tricky. The red w/ring connector will either power both the control circuit and power circuit or it will only power the power circuit of the relay. To be sure, check continuity from the red w/ring connecter to the end of the other red wire. If no continuity, that other red wire will go to one terminal on the switch and you'll have to run a hot wire from battery positive to the other terminal of the switch.

Fog lights should be on with ign and low beam only so b+ needs a ign controled from the inside fuse box.

OK, wait a minute.

Can you take a closeup of the the end of the other red wire? It looks like it would plug into the back of a connecter.

Where the other red wire comes out of the harness is that a 2-wire connecter? If so, what color is the other wire?
-----------

@ rockycat: Duh (slaps forehead). I should have known it's an ignition controlled circuit.

Battery connection will build corrosion and won't at the fuse box.

There's continuinity from the red wire at the plug but no from red wire- to relay- to other side red wire

- Red w/ring to battery or were the power comes into the under-hood fusebox. You can't miss it, it goes from battery positive straight to the fusebox.
- Black w/ring to ground
- Other red to switch
- Find an ignition activated circuit in the under-hood fusebox and run a wire from there to the other terminal of the switch. That way you can never run your battery down by leaving the fogs on. If you want to be able to turn them on without the car being on then run a hot wire from battery positive or the fusebox to the switch.

Got it, would I use a fuze tap or someting?
I'm just confused about the switch. It will have 2 positives and one negative?
I just don't see how it will complete the circuit .
Forgive my stupidity

No ground to the switch that is the wire with the ring between the two lights. you will be switching a B+ wire to the relay.

I get that black grounds on the frame. I get that the red wire from relay with inline fuze goes into the underhood fuze box. I get that the other red wire with a round long fitting plugs into the switch. I don't get what else I need to plug into the oem switch. I want it to glow when it's ON as well.
Sorry for confusion. My car also has factory alarm if that changes anything.

Red w/ring will connect under one of those main power wire bolts at the bottom of the picture. One comes straight from the battery and one comes from the alternator.
----------------

2 prong switch: Red goes to one prong and power goes to the other prong.

3 prong switch (lighted): Red goes to one prong, power to one prong and ground to one prong

Ok I get it. That red wire will connected to the switch, and then I also need to tap into a switch, then a hot wire to it and a ground, since switch is lightened. That's what I wasn't sure about.

Thank you so much
