93 LX hesitates under light load
I've searched and searched, but can't find a definitive answer to this problem.
The car (93 LX) has a miss in the engine when I accelerate lightly, it feels like its losing the spark somehow, but I can't imagine where. If I give it a little more gas, the hesitation goes away, but you can really feel it under light acceleration or cruising around 2k rpms. (chug, chug...chugchugchug)
I've replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel & air filters, and reset the valves for good measure. Still doing the same thing, what's next?
TIA for any help, this has really been bugging me.

Re: 93 LX hesitates under light load (Martaigne)
It may be the "EGR ports" are clogged. There is info about this here:

Its about halfway down the page. Does this sound like your problem?

Re: 93 LX hesitates under light load (jfastman)
I do need to check the TPS, good point.
Since my hesitation kicked in right around 1800rpm seems like the EGR seems probable.
I started just removing the upper intake, but after looking at the EGR ports I decided to pull the whole thing and give it a good cleaning (also, the gaskets only came as a set, shame to not use them all).
The intake was just plain clogged, I'm hopeful this solves the problem. Will know tomorrow when I put things back together...
