93 fan kicks on and stays on long after car is shutoff??
How long should the fan run after the car is shut off? My 93 runs for like 10 to 15 min after it is shut off...I also have the dreaded low idle when the car is in gear..idles fine in park..but drops to 500rpm when it is in gear. I have checked/cleaned the IAC, FITV, and the air boost. One procedure said it was the air boost when finished with the test...ever heard of one of those going bad?

10-15 is longer than it should.
This could be a cooling issue.
Are you driving it hard?

First, rule out an overheating problem. If this is caused by TRUE overheating, then you can replace your thermostat or check for a plugged radiator, or something along those lines.
Does this happen even when you drive a short time - so the engine's not even warmed up?
Look where the UPPER radiator hose is attached to the head. There's a sensor there (a fan swich) - unplug it while the fan is running after shutoff. If that makes the fan stop, then get a new switch.
Background:
There's 2 fan switches on your car. The one in the thermostat housing (lower radiator hose) is responsible for switching the fan while the ignition is turned on. The one at the upper radiator hose is responsible for switching after shutoff. There's a fan timer module to decide which switch controls, and to shut off the fan even if the switch is stuck closed.
Not all years of Accords have this same system, so everyone else who finds this thread has to be careful which years...

You asked "Does this happen even when you drive a short time - so the engine's not even warmed up?" I was just idle in the driveway...actually trying to figure out a low idle problem when it goes in drive. The fan would kick on even after I shut it off...and would run for sometime. The car was at operating temp. I am going to do the little test you suggest about pulling the connector off.. I really appreciate you time and expertise.. Have you ever had a Air Boost Valve go bad? That is what started all of this..
