'93 accord tons of moisture and water inside
I have a problem that has been baffling me for some time, on my '93 honda accord EX. The windows fog up like crazy, and also there is some water build up in the rear passenger foot well (although I park facing up an hill, so it could be running down from somewhere else).
Its enough water that I can press the carpet with my fingers and they will be soaked. I had taken the seats out, pulled the carpet up a bit and vaccumed it all up, but it came back shortly after. It does not appear to be anti freeze, I have checked multiple times. Even just now I took a plastic spoon, and shoved it through a slit I cut in the carpet to collect a sample, and it was just brown water, no sign of green.
And as far as the windows fogging, I absolutely must drive with AC on to see, if I turn off the AC and have the vent set to inside air, the windows will all start fogging within about 1 minute, no matter what the weather. Even with outside air, but AC off, the windows want to fog up.
I took the whole vent system below the windshield apart to inspect it, but it seems to be just fine, I even extended the little plastic awning thing that makes absolutely sure water doesn't drip in the vent tube. I also inspected the sun roof drains, pouring a bottle of water in there, they drain just fine. I've inspected the door jambs after heavy rain, but could not find any sort of indication that rain is possibly getting in there. I've also shoved a towl up under the carpet in the passenger footwell, resting right above where the ECU is (or whatever computer part that is) to try to see if water was indeed getting in at that area and running down, but even after a couple of weeks, that towel is dry.
I'm just baffled where this water could possibly be coming from, and in such high quantity. Any ideas?
PS: The only thing I didn't specifically check, is I heard there is some AC vent hose or something that can possibly get plugged, and overflow. I just haven't checked yet because I don't know exactly where it is, but also I would have thought if it was the AC overflowing that it would have made that towel wet that I have under there but it hasn't.

Check the service manual for all possible rain runout points, more than likely you got some leaves & gunk clogging it up and it will back up into an area that CAN run into the cabin.
If I have some more time I will look into it for you guys.

Is your car rusty? Did you bottom the car out on earth? Have you tired a hose? Antifreeze would smell. That would be the heater core. Did you check all the foam seals from the inside of the firewall. Evaporator line mounting seal, Heater tube mounting seal ? Could be the gasket for the shifter cable(s)? A damaged or missing inner fender liner can throw water at your door seals when you hit puddles of water or it rains at high speeds. Did you say you checked the ecu harness grommet? Missing Seat Bolts?
If that fails,
Tear up the carpet. Jack up the car, shine a bright light under the car. Look for light; checking where there should be body plugs and looking for tears
Hope any of this even remotely helps you out
