93 accord TCM question
hey guys
im fixing a 93 accord lx for my dad and it is stuck in 2nd and 3rd gear with d4 flashing.
it is throwing codes 1, 2, 7, 8, and 14
if i reset the TCM it fixes it, until the vehicle is turned off, then they all come back
from my experience usually something of this matter pertains to a bad TCM (common issue with these accords)
i opened up the TCM to take a look and see if i could find any bad caps or resistors, but none of them appeared to be bad. all the caps are not leaking, tops are flat. the resistors are not burned. i tested the most common failed resistors in the TCM and they test fine.
now, i still believe this is the issue, but i would like to try and test something before i buy a TCM for it.
i can get a 94 accord EX TCM for free to test with (just a long drive to get it)
will this TCM work with the 93 lx, just enough to test and see if it fixes the codes? or will it not work at all?
The 94 TCM has the same plugs, its just a different size, part number, and obviously for a different transmission/engine combo.
TIA for any help you can provide

Re: 93 accord TCM question
Check the TCU resistors/capacitors as provided in the tech auto link. Check the wiring harness. Check all the grouds are clean and tight. Check that the battery is fully charged/holding a charge/connections are clean and tight.
