Icon3 96 accord front end help

i have a 96 honda accord exr i was hit in a parkng lot on the passenger side not hard but it wrecked my rack and pinion so i replaced it but now my steering is very sloppy when i go straight down the road i feel every little bump and crack the wheel will shakes a bit at any speed and very very loose. when i turn left or right a any speed it gets really really stiff. i also hear thumping when i go over bumps. so i replaced my stab links and checked to make sure everything is tight and all is good i checked all my tires and rims and balanced them all good i got the rack from parts source same with the stab links and its got honda performance p/s fluid in it what is left i am totally lost?

How about an alignment? They are essential after replacing steering components.
