93 Accord Idles up and down (pualsates)
1993 Honda Accord LX
During warm up on cold Michigan Winter days 30's or below:
When the car first starts in will run fine for a minute or two then start to idle up and down.
When it pulsates from around1500 RPMs to about 2500 RPMs, sometimes it stalls out after a minute of it pulsates.
Recently its warmed up a little above 35 to 40 degrees:
The car still is pulsates but not as much.
It seems to idle around 2000 when it is going to act up. When it is doing good its around 1000 to 1500. And only when car is at a stop, that it pulsates.
My mechanic has tried to fix this by:
Changing Coolant Temp Sensor (think that is what it is called) Coolant level is good as well
Cleaned Throttle body
Cleaned Idle Air Motor (hoping I don't have to replace it)
New Air Filter
Now my car has recently started to act weird while driving after it first starts up. Before the car is fully warmed up I will be driving and it will like stall out and restart. I will be going along and the rpm's drop and then kick back up. This jerks the car. I am not letting off the gas when this happens. Someone told me it was something in secondary ignition. And said it was stalling out. It will do this a few times sometimes like 5 or 6 time

My pcv valve got stuck in either the closed or open position one time when i took it off to change the valve cover and it was idling pretty weird. Try changing that for 4 bucks if you haven't in a while.

Re: 93 Accord Idles up and down (pualsates)
With a cold engine:
Open the radiator cap, start the engine, and squeeze the coolant hoses(trying to work through any bubbles). I had the exact same problem with my car, somehow some bubbles accumulated in the hoses and made the rpm jump up and down.

Re: 93 Accord Idles up and down (pualsates)
Went to junk yard and got a fast idle value and the idle air motor. We also bleed the antifreeze lines. So far seems okay. Wont be able to tell for a few days since it didnt happen every time.
