Default 93 accord cooling fans not turning on.

I have a 93 accord se. My problem is the cooling fan only turns on when you turn the a/c on or jump the sensor. So when you shut the car off there is nothing cooling it down.
When I noticed the car getting hot and there was a leak in the radiator so we changed it. The fan were changed a little later because it was getting louder and louder. My main question is'" are both the cooling fan and the radiator fan suppose to kick on when you turn the a/c on. Because if only the a/c fan is supposed to turn on then I have a wiring problem. " This is what I have also done to combat my recent fan problem:

-installed a new senor
-checked all relays and fuses. OK
-drained and bled the radiator.
-confirmed the cooling system is closed. No leaks.
-thermostat is doing its job.

If its a wiring problem does anyone have any diagrams or advice on were to look
for the problem. This is of course irrelevant if its normal for both fans to turn on.

Please help. I've tried almost everything. It seems to stomp everyone.

Both fans operate at the same time. They split the system electrically for reasons unknown. Maybe they planned on putting a side by side radiator and condenser. I don't know. But, the way they are wired, they will both operate together.

Look at it this way, you've increased the integrity of the system by replacing some parts.

I'm not sure if the Original Poster is asking for help with an over heat issue. I think they just want to know if both fans come on at the same time.

I totally understand what ur saying!

the post says Fans not turning on? my question is how does he know they are not turning on? and is it overheating because they dont turn on?

Well if you jump the fan sensor it should only turn 1 on? but theres 2 sensors......the one closest to the Radiator should be tested also!
and when I turn on my AC both kick in

only one fan (driver side) is for the actuial cooling system, the second fan (passenger side) is designed to increase cooling during operation of the AC. when you turn on the AC the condersor gets hot, and more hot air is blown into the rad which increases the temp.

So, to answer your question, Driver side fan should always be cycling when the thermostat opens. The secondary fan should cycle at the same time as the other one, but only when the AC is on.
