93 Accord Cabin-air Controls
1. Temp Dial - It is still firmly attached and only can be rotated in the intended range of motion (can't just spin it in circles) however doesn't have any impact on the air temp.
2. Vent Selector - I wish I knew the actual technical term for this adjuster, regardless my vents were changing perfectly fine (panel floor defrost) until a couple nights ago. It was -22 Celsius, I had been driving my car for an hour and had switched the vents to panel and recirculate to warm the interior. I messed up and forgot to switch back to defrost and fresh air. I am guessing as the car cooled vapor condensed then froze. In the morning, not thinking, I started my car and switched the vents to defrost and fresh air. The car did switch to fresh air, however it is now stuck on panel regardless of what kind of button mashing i do.

The car was placed in a heated garage with a heater in the vehicle and baked for 5 hours to ensure that airflow gates weren't frozen shut. I'm scared I have ruined that motor responsible for changing vents, or (hopefully) there's a fuse that I may just need to replace.
Just curious if you guys have any simple suggestions before I start tearing my dash apart, and if you have any advice regarding a dash demolition to resolve these issues that would be awesome. Cheers,
Trent

I did find this article which is relevant to accessing the blower unit,
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/1990-1993-accord-blower-motor-assembly-resistor-removal-replacement-2617460/
and this for the heat control

would love additional info, MUST KNOW MORE!

Re: 93 Accord Cabin-air Controls
Didn't read the links....when you turn the **** two cables are in play....first from the **** to the blend door lever. From the other end of the blend door lever a cable runs to the actual heater control valve. Be sure when you turn the **** the blend door is moving and also that the heater control valve is moving.
Next, check the mode control motor for movement. The linkage will bind sometimes "sticking" the air flow in some place. Usually a slight push on the linkage will get it to move.....if so, lube the linkage and see what you have.
