My 92 ex is overheating and I'm not to sure why. At idle it will be fine but once I start to drive it overheats and when I turn the heater on it blows nothing but cold air. What's could be causing this?

Have you checked your water level? Sounds like it may have some air

Fluid level is fine bled the system the other day.

Has the radiator been flushed recently? I would try that, also replace the tstat with OEM honda. If that doesnt work, I would think water pump is weak. However, the symptoms do indicate a air bubble.

Also, when cold, remove radiator cap, start engine, check to see if it shoots out coolant

Did you have any recent work done?
If the system was opened make sure the heater is turned to full hot while bleeding the system. I ususally just leave the bleeder screw open while refilling to aid in a faster fill/bleed.

if level is fine in the radiator and no air pockets are present ,make sure the heater valve is open and the cable is attached to the **** so itll turn from hot to cold... if it was blowing hot a few days ago and you havent moved the **** from hot to cold and all of a sudden it isnt blowing hot id suspect a clogged heater core or faulty themostat

haha I feel like a goof but I bled it one more time to see if I did get all the air out and turns out I didn't. re-bled the system and now she works fine. thanks for all the advice I really appreciate it.
