92 Accord auto trans not shifting
Hi I am new to honda and new to this site. I have a 92 Accord and when I got it, it shifted fine and then it would start to shift hard. Then it would get stuck in 3rd gear but I could shift it manually from 1st gear. That would last a couple of days and then it would shift just fine. Now it is stuck in 4th gear and I can only manually shift from 2nd gear, it as been a week and it is still stuck. Also the shift indicator on the dash always shows that it is in 4th gear, even when shifting manually it will show 4th and the gear that I am in. Just after it got stuck in 4th I added Seafoam auto trans conditioner to no avail. Any help would be helpful.

If your D4 is flashing you need to go to a transmission shop. If you have been driving long with a flashing d4 you might need a new trannie.
Others might not agree with this :
There are 2 solenoid's on the front of the tranie just under the upper radiator hose. Try tapping these and maybe it will make your problem go away for a while.

Re: (ddg2sailor)
I tapped on the two solenoids and there was no change. The fluild is ok, when I get extra money I am going to have the trans flushed. Also will the trans give trouble codes and can my local flaps get the codes or will I have to take it to the dealer?
Thanks again for the help
