90 Accord rear motor mount
I'm planning to replace the worn-out rear (firewall side) motor mount on my 90 Accord LX with AT. I have a source that has a solid mount, and a mount with the solenoid--like the one on my car. Source says most customers are electing to go with the "non-solenoid" mount, mostly because it's about half as expensive as the solenoid mount. My question: has anyone on the forum replaced their solenoid mount with a non-solenoid mount? any problems? should I replace with the solenoid mount? Thanks for any replys/recommendations.

Re: 90 Accord rear motor mount (vettman)
the 90 93 model accord with auto tranny were fitted with an 'electronic engine mount' and it works by routing fluid through the mount when the car is stopped and the engine is in drive and idling... like at the lights... this makes the mount softer and absorbs the vibration... when you start moving and at speed, it cuts the fluid supply and makes the mount firmer. If you're happy with the vibration with the car in drive and stopped at the lights then go for the solid mount.

Okay; I've decided to go with the solid mount. Is there some easy/preferred way to "terminate" the fluid flow, electrics, etc. when I replace the original with the solid mount? Thanks

Re: 90 Accord rear motor mount (vettman)
you will notice a considerable more shaking at steering wheel at idle in drive, speed below 750 if you go with a solid mount ...that is why honda went with a vacc operated liquid filled mount to minimize and absorb the vibrations
