Re: The Beast? (zigzack)
Heard of it, Im pretty sure its a B series......so no it would not fit in your accord, plus it costs twice as much as you probably paid for the car, and wouldn't you rather build the motor yourself?

it would cost an infinite ammount more than my car, seeing as how it was free, and no I'd rather get an engine that is decent by itself, don't have time to build one, only got one car, and no garage space. Damn, I was gonna get that instead of an h22 but now i guess I gotta spend a couple grand on a japanese import. Does anybody know if Honda has a company that makes crate engines for them, like motocraft for Ford?

There are several people here on HT that have engines built by me. They are all over the country... Honestly, you can call me at my shop and I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please do a search on my reputation and accountability. There are other very good engine builders here as well so in fairness, talk to them as well and do business with whom you feel most comfortable with.

I can build what you need, but there will always be a trade-off... bigger = less reliable, IMO. The first 2 "bigger" engines I owned were built by another company. It was after they both blew that I decided to build Honda engines myself. I have been building them ever since.
Again, please check out all of your options before deciding on an engine builder.
I suggest:
PocketRocketsRacing, PrecisionH23a, and RLZ just to name a few EXCELLENT choices.

Re: (zigzack)
First, You need to decide if this is a daily driver and HAS to remain reliable, or are you willing to sacrifice reliability for an engine that should go in a "track only" car...
Here is where I would start:
What is your REALISTIC goal or intention with your car?
What is your Budget?
You don't have to answer my questions publicly, just concider my questions wisely.

This car is gonna be my daily driver. I would want a reliable engine that can get up and go. I live in northern california so torque is more of an issue than hp for me(all these damn hills). Budget is a hard one to figure but I'm planning on no more than 5 grand.
