This hack will allow you to change the startup picture of your navigation. Instead of seeing that space looking screen that says Honda Navigation you will see your own custom image.

Download the Software

1. Download the following file. Unzip the contents into a folder called "Bysin" on your desktop.
2. File: http://guicide.com/cars/2006ci...n.zip
3. Download the next file and open up the zip.
4. File: http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/pr...s.zip
5. Place CECompressv4.dll in the folder <Bysin-Release>. It will ask to replace. Click yes.
6. Download the following file. Unzip the contents into a folder called "8to16" on your desktop.
7. File: http://guicide.com/cars/2006ci...6.zip

Get the Navi Disk Files

1. Go to your car and put the key into ACC mode.
2. Open your trunk and hit the "open" button on the Navi DVD Drive that is underneath the decklid betwen the rear speakers.
3. Now hit the "Eject" button and take the disk in the house.
4. Put the disk into your DVD drive and copy the following files into the folder <Bysin-Release>.
5. Files: 06TOUCH2.BIN, O6TOUCH.BIN, A0000_00.MNG, DCA0.REG, PRG_INFO.MNG, UPDATE_APL.EXE
6. You can now put the disk back in the car, you are done with it.

Create the Image

1. I will use Photoshop as a guide. MS Paint directions will be in brackets when different.
2. Go to <File-New> and make an image with size 480x234.
3. OR open an image and Crop and Resize it to the listed size.
4. Go to <Image-Mode-Indexed Color>. Click on 256 colors and hit "OK". [No need for this in Paint.]
5. Hit <File-Save As> and save the image in folder <8to16> as type <Bitmap> and File Name <Image.bmp>. When the window comes up it should already have 8 bit selected. Do not check any boxes and hit "OK". [Hit <File-Save As> and choose type <256 color or 8bit Bitmap> with no compression or anything and file name <Image.bmp>.

Fix the Image

1. Hit <Start-Run> on your windows Taskbar.
2. Type "CMD" and hit "Enter".
3. Type "CD" and then a space.
4. Drag the <8to16> folder into the back CMD window. Hit "Enter".
5. Type "8to16 Image.bmp Image16.bmp". Hit "Enter".
6. Close the CMD window when this is complete and open up folder <8to16>.
7. Right-click on the "Image16.bmp" and hit "Cut".
8. Open up folder <Bysin-Release> and hit <Edit-Paste>.

Update 06TOUCH2.BIN

1. Hit <Start-Run> on your windows Taskbar.
2. Type "CMD" and hit "Enter".
3. Type "CD" and then a space.
4. Drag the <Bysin-Release> folder into the back CMD window. Hit "Enter".
5. Type "Bysin 06Touch2.bin update Opening1.bmp Image16.bmp". Hit "Enter".
6. This may take a while and when it completes close everything out.

Burn the DVD and Update

1. Burn a Data DVD with the following files: 06TOUCH2.BIN, O6TOUCH.BIN, A0000_00.MNG, DCA0.REG, PRG_INFO.MNG, UPDATE_APL.EXE.
2. Go to your car, place it in ACC mode, and swap the original Navi disk with this one.
3. Now sit in your car and wait for an error message to come up. When it does hold down "Map/Guide", "Menu", and "Cancel".
4. Now hit "Version" and then "Download".
5. This will take a while and when it completes your image will pop up. When it does go swap to the OEM disk again.
6. Now get back in your car and wait. Your image should pop up and Navi should load.
