Default 2002 Honda Accord V6 engine code P1607 - change engine computer and reprogram car key

My car is 2002 Honda Accord v6. It broke down a couple of weeks ago. A mechanics read the engine code P1607 and replaced the engine computer. It costs me more than $500. I learnt that, car keys need to be reprogrammed after changing the engine computer. I have two keys for this car. I gave the mechanics one key when he repaired the car. So this key works. Later I found that, the 2nd key also works. Is it possible? The 2nd key has not been reprogrammed. If not possible, I guess the mechanics did not really change the engine computer. Thanks.

Per the FSM "any key that is not learned during the rewriting (of ECM/PCM) will no longer start the engine." Beats me. ???

Is it possible to copy all the data from the “bad” computer and down load the data to the “new” computer (it is actually a used one), so that the car keys will work even without reprogram them?

Today, I drove back to the mechanics. Looks like he did change the computer. He unplugged the wires from the “new” computer (which is in my car right now) and plugged them in to the “bad” computer (the one he gave back to me after he fixed the car a couple of weeks ago), and both car key works. So my two car keys work for both old and new computers.

The “bad” computer still works as I saw today. Maybe the mechanics got a wrong engine code because of low car battery? My car alternator was also changed same time.
