2002 honda accord turn signal
i have a 2002 honda accord. The turn signals were working fine until I bought new head lamps. then the fuse blew. i replaced the fuse, then turn the signal on, then it blew again. what could be the problem.

Re: 2002 honda accord turn signal
r u sure they gave u the right bulb? if they didnt, i dont see y a new bulb would blow a relay with new set of headlights. was there ne problems with the relay b4? ur blinker going at a really fast rate? etc.

Re: 2002 honda accord turn signal
In thinking how to troubleshoot this, here's the only thing I can come up with:
1) Confirm that the fuse you're blowing has the correct Amp rating. This is rather important -- no more, and no less than indicated on the fuse box cover for that spot. If it's less, you'll blow it often and for no reason at all. If more, something else will burn or melt, like your circuitry. That's exactly what fuses are supposed to protect.
-if improper fuse, replace with the correct one and try again.
2) If the fuse is proper and still gets blown, disconnect your new light bulbs from their harnesses. When both are disconnected, try the blinker again, and see if the fuse survives.
--if the fuse does survive, your new headlights (or something in their close vicinity) is to blame. Start with the dealer that sold you the headlights, or just replace them with what the owner's manual says you should (from a neighborhood autostore near you, and if the problem goes away, cram the bad ones up the dealer's ***).
--if the fuse still blows, your headlight replacement is a bad coincidence, you may have a short in the switch, or elsewhere in the blinker circuit.
Looking forward to your findings.
