2002 Accord V6 - Is it a interference engine?
I know some of the earlier Accord engines were interference engines that could damage pistons and valves if the timing belt failed.
Can anyone tell me if the V6 in a 2002 Accord is an interference engine or not. Is there a reference somewhere that will tell this type of detail on Honda engines?
I am also wondering the same thing about a 4 cyl. in a 2000 CRV.

Is the engine code part of the VIN? Or, is it located on the block?
I have tried searching the internet but have not found an answer. I did see one reference that said Honda engine codes are located on the block.
Is there a list somewhere of which engine codes are interference and which ones are not?
