2001 Honda Accord Expansion Valve replacement
My 2001 Accord Lx has a sticky/clogged expansion valve that makes my ac work intermittently. I've removed all the interior glove compartment gear to get to the evaporator body. The black casing is in 2 parts. I've removed all the screws to separate the bottom section from the top section. I've also removed the nut that hold the lower end of the bottom section to the firewall. But now when I yank on the casing, the front section is fully loose, but something is holding that lower end to the firewall. Can't find any screws or bolts. I went on the other side othe the firewall (under hood) but couldn't find any bolts, etc. Just the condensate spout. Don't know how to yank it out without taking a chance to break something. Somebody PLEASE HELP!!

Wow! How so dumb of me. Of course, I should have considered that first and foremost. I was hoping I could get away by just removing the casing to get to the expansion valve. Thank you "holmesnmanny" for that advice. I'll be working on it today and keep you informed. Thanks a bunch again!
