2000 Honda Accord EX V6 won't shift out of park and no brake lights
I recently bought a 00 Honda Accord EX V6 and automatic shifter will not come out of park without using the bypass on the gear box. I replaced the brake light fuse, the brake switch and all brake lights. I also verified the horn works and that all other fuses are not blown. I hand over hand checked the majority of the wiring without pulling all of the carpet out and see no issues from fraying or anything like that but still cannot get car out of park and no brake lights! Any help without having to take it to a dealer or shop would be great.

Is the little stopper that engages the plunger on the brake switch on your brake pedal present? #7 in the picture on the brake pedal.

it could be the switch is bad. You will need to disconnect the connector and test for continuity across the pins with the brake pedal pressed down. There should be continuity.
If you have cruise control there might be four pins, you should have to test across the top right pin and bottom left pin, facing the connector with the tab facing up. It's possible for your car it might be different pins.

A dimple in the stopper shouldn't matter as long as it depresses the plunger. I have a 97 Accord EX wagon that had the exact same problem and it ended up being the brake pedal switch, #3 in my previous post. I saw that you had posted that you had already replaced the switch though so I would test it as stated by holmesnmanny.

Re: 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 won't shift out of park and no brake lights
Sorry late post. I have been out of town and haven't worked on it in awhile. I fixed this problem. The guy before me wired up some fog lights and hooked them up directly to the inside wire harness and fried the board. I fixed that and now the car shifts out of park no problem and the brake lights work.
Next problem is when the car is shifted into park the white plunger thing does not fully release or go up all the way to where the key will come out of ignition. The only way I can get key out is to remove shift handle and then white plunger goes up all the way and I can get key out.
I have replaced white plunger, gear shifter handle and spring, used different lubrication and still only way to get key out is to remove handle so white plunger thing can fully pop up all the way. Any ideas?

Verify the shift cable and shifter switch are properly aligned.
If the shifter cable is out of adjustment, it may not allow the trans to be fully placed into park.
If the shift switch is out of alignment the contacts will not close when placed into Park.
Verify continuity through the switch when place in Park(located on left side cover of trans). Adjust switch as needed.
