Icon2 2000 car and ecu, 2001 motor, what o2 sensor/ecu??

allllrighty... so here's the story (cliffnotes at bottom)

when i bought my car, the CEL was on, the guy said it was the rear o2 sensor because it was actually torn off. He also said that it had a different motor in it. When I got the codes, it was throwing 4. P0141 (rear O2 sensor) P0505, P1457(evap), and P1486. i had my mechanic look at it when he did my clutch, and he said that because it was grounded out it could have shorted out the part of the ECU that controls it because the car is stuck in open loop, and that the motor is from an automatic 2001. I tried doing some tests on the front o2 sensor, which is now throwing a code after i replaced it with a NTK one, but i used a guide for a 2001, which i think is different from my 2000 ECU. In doing so, i cleared the codes and now 2 days later when i checked it with a scanner it's only showing 2 codes, one for the front o2 sensor and another for the rear, and after i clear them and restart the car the CEL comes back on after 2 seconds. Do you think the codes for the evap will come back on after driving for a while? i don't want to drive it because it's not inspected and i really don't feel like getting that ticket. Also, the car is stuck in open loop due to the rear o2 sensor not working properly. So the main problem i have is what o2 sensor should i get, the one for the 2000 which will match the ECU or the 2001 that will match the motor, or will i need both of them??? I've done a lot of research and seached this forum and others, but haven't found anything like this. any comments/suggestions, i'm all ears.

cliffnotes::
bought car with CEL on
seller said it was rear o2 sensor
replaced it with aftermarket
mechanic said it could have fried ECU when it was ripped off
car is stuck in open loop
was throwing 4 codes, but now only 2
right now it has NTK o2 sensors in it
the car is a 2000, and has a 2000 ECU in it, i think, but has a 2001 motor in it

Denso's site says it has different part numbers for the different years
WHAT ONE DO I NEED?!?!!?
thanks for any help,
kevin

it would help if you mentioned what 2 O2 codes it's throwing...

P0141 is for the rear
P1167 is for the front

i put in the old o2 sensor that was in the front and wasn't throwing a code before and reset the ECU, the code for that is "denso 192400-1020 09B25".

the P1167 is a A/F sensor (1) heater problem and the P0141 is the heater problem in the O2 sensor 2 most of the time when I see both of these codes I would check for a blown fuse and that there is power (12v) at the plug.

yea i checked all of the fuses, i tried to check for continuity between the front o2 sensor (or A/F sensor, actually) to the ECU but the guide i had was for a 2001 ECU and i think they're different because i wasn't getting anything but it wasn't throwing the code before i put the different sensor in the front, and it also said to test for voltage between B19 and B20 and there's no wire going into the B20 slot... so i'm kinda stuck on what to do next

but did you check to see if theres 12v at the O2 sensor's plug? theres 4 wires there and one should have 12v with the key in the on position if not check the fuses (all of them) there are 3 fuse boxes start with the engine one one by one and move to the next one. as the O2 gets it's power from a fuse and not from the ECU!

I think there are four different sensors for 6th gen accords. Long story short, if you're still using the matching engine harness/ECU, use the O2 sensor corresponding to your ECU (ie. YEAR, EX/SE/LX/DX, ULEV, not ULEV)

ok so i looked on auto zone's website to see if i could just buy them there instead of paying the $10 shipping fee from sparkplugs.com and wow it's scary haha they are sooooooo expensive there. they also said that the front o2 sensor should be Denso 234-9025... i'm a little confused
