1999 ACCORD V6 TIMING BELT TENSIONER QUESTION
I have my friends 1999 v6 accord in my other friends driveway in the air right now. I can't figure out how to put the belt tensioner back on the vehicle with the new timing belt already installed. Please let me know if you can give me or lead me to a site with any advice on how to do this. THANKS FOR READING MY POST

Re: 1999 ACCORD V6 TIMING BELT TENSIONER QUESTION (justjawshinya)
i have the belt on there already but in the process of getting it on it turns the cam closest to the firewall one tooth back, and I have tried to compensate for it and it has failed. Now i need to know how to do it with the tensioner compressed so i can set the cam gear back to where it should be. thanks for the response, let me know if you know of any ideas i can try.

You have to remove the plug from the end of it, turn the adjuster screw allthe way in, and hold it from springing back out with a special tool. (btw dont turn it upside down with the plug out or the oil will drain out which is bad)
