1999 accord hesitation, bogging and dies
I have a f23a1 that threw a p0420 code and some misfire codes a while back replaced cat with a eastern cat from rockauto, drove around and it still hesitated and bogged. Change the spark plug wires to ngk and plugs to ngk got better than start to hesitate, again. Car would bog from stop light or from turning once reaching operating temp on all counts.
Car sat along time before I decided to work on it again. Wouldn't start replaced the fuel pump with a rebuild kit and got the car running and ran fine till car got up to temp and would hesitate from dead stop and from a turn. Ran some redline fuel additive and been thru probably 4 tanks of gas. Everytime I refuel the car hesitate and dies but once I start it back up it usually drives decent and some slight hesitation from a stop. I ussually have to baby the gas petal in the mornings from a dead stop cuz I can feel it wanting to hesitate.
I'm tired of throwing money at it and would like your input it did throw another p0420 code but I did the anti spark fouler on the rear o2 sensor no more code just hesitation bogging from a stop or turning when car is at operating temp. Getting worser as we approach 100 degree weather. Also can feel a slight hesitation when accelerating from a dead stop when the car is cold. But no codes. Also burped coolant system.
Sorry for wall of text trying to be descriptive as possible. And sorry for wall of text.

Pulled spark plugs last week noticed all 4 where a flat black. Also when the car does hesitate I ussually have the throw the car in neutral and back into drive jus to get it going from a stop or a turn and the car died on me yesterday when I tried to accelerate from a stop when it got into operating temp.

Distributor cap and rotor are a couple years old, icm and ignitor were replaced back in 2009, transmission replaced back in 2008. main relay replaced back in 2008 thats all I can think of besides whats listed above. Also checked timing belt looks good. Also before the top raidator hose blew replaced that then a it started to hesitate then got the p0420 code and misfire codes so replaced the cat. Also when I replaced the fuel pump it took a while to start had to drain the old gas out and put new in and when it did start sounded like a gun shot from my exhuast... a week later got the p0420 code again so did the anti fouler cheat

Would this accurately describe how I should clean the egr system.

***UPDATE***
Installed both O2 sensors with Denso reset ecu. DIDN'T have time to CLEAN EGR PORTS. Had to change brake calipers and what not so I could drive it plus been busy at work.
Cars still hesitates/stutters when trying to turn right or left when engine is cold or hot. Hesitates/stutters from a dead stop going uphill, and occasionally from a dead stop with engine cold or hot.
Also if I shut engine down and some minutes or so (10-45 mins) and try and start car it will idle rough and bog and want to stall and when I put it in gear it hesitates and wants to stall.
Got a check engine light pulled the code earlier still P0420...
Do I need a new cat since it backfired on me a few times? Or is it cuz its a aftermarket cat (eastern).
And it also idles weird like I get a surge or a something but rpm barely goes up when it happens in idle with AC on.

Sounds like possible exhaust leak. Seafoam it and look for white smoke coming out the exhaust before the o2 sensor.
Also unplug the fpr vacuum hose from the im and smell for fuel. It should smell clean.

sounds like she is running rich, if you're getting popping in the exhaust my belief is that the rich condition is allowing fuel to ignite after it has left the combustion chamber and into the exhaust. Might want to check timing and your belt. The aftermarket cats are not known to last very long in comparison to OEM. I doubt that it has already gone bad, maybe the fueling issue is creating the code you're getting

**update**
After throwing parts and time at it I caved in and took it to a professional.. Long story short if this happens to u replace your distributor. Got it back today and drives like a champ! Hope this will help someone out in the future.
