My sons accord is having a hard time with cold starts when I last had it started we had check engine light read and found that the IAT sensor was send a code. Is this my likely prblem or is there something else I chould look at. 187K

I would always follow the codes first.....then if there is still an issue and there are no codes, suggestions/ideas will come.

Thx i did get the code read at Autozone and they said a IAT sensor. I replaced the sensor engine started and since I had disconnected the battery the code did not appear when repalced. The car started but was still a little slow to start. No check engine light after four days the light retruned and the same code IAT sensor.

What should I check next? When I replaced the sensor the inside of the opening did feel a little dirty.

I have a new bottle of RXP hopeing that may help clean the intake.

I would drop some isoheet in the fuel tank and replace the fuel filter first.
