1998 honda h22 auto to manual into 1994 accord
I have a 1994 honda accord that has a 92-96 h22a engine with manual tranny on it runs finee.. But i have a friend whos selling a 1998 h22 vtec engine but its automatic tranny... Can i put the 92-96 manual tranny on a 98 h22 auto transmission motor??? And also my 92-96 engine is obd1 will a 1998 h22 motor ever work in my 94 accord what will i have to do??

There really is no automatic or manual H22 engine. There are only auto and manual transmissions. So to answer your question. Yes, the 98 H22 will bolt up to your current manual transmission. All H22 and F22 engines will bolt up to any F or H series transmission, be it an automatic or manual.
To answer your second question. The easiest way for you to do the swap is to swap over all of your OBD1 distributor and all the obd1 sensors from your current engine to the new engine.

sorry i didnt mean auto or manual engine dude but u got the point.. so what about the clutch and flywheel and everything do i literally just bolt up the manual tranny on the 98 h22

alright sounds good.. im wanting to build one of the engines up and boost it which would be better a 94 jdm h22 or a 98 usdm h22??

You may want to look through the forced induction forum or ask extralargenog. He seems to be the resident Accord boosted H22 guru.
If I remember there are a few boosted H22 threads on H-T with some good info in them. Do a search for boosted H22 with extralargenog in the user name field. Or you could send him a PM and see what he says.
