Default 1997 Honda Accord EX-L 2.2 4 cyl

Hello All,

The problem I am having is the vehicle is misfiring/not firing/not firing properly in one of the cylinders. It's the cylinder closest to the distributor. I know it's not firing because of the code it throws, the fact it runs rough(once it warms up), and when I pull the plug for that cylinder it's wet. All other plugs appear to be firing properly (not wet). Here's what I've done thus far:
-changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, distributor, ICM (ignition control module).

Same issue persists. All cylinders have good compression. The fuel pump and fuel pressure appear to be fine and have proper pressure and flow. The reason I'm posting this thread is it appears that most peoples issues were solved doing all or some of the previous, or they had different issues all together. It was suggested it could be a computer issue but this doesn't make sense to me as the other cylinders appear to be firing properly. Also I had considered an injector issue but then the cylinder would still be firing just bit getting the right amount of fuel( ie plug would not be wet). So any help with this issue would be appreciated as I am fresh out of ideas for troubleshooting the issue. Perhaps I am missing an obvious problem here and need a second opinion. Thank you in advance!

Have you used a spark plug tester? See if youre getting a good spark? Have you tested the new distributor? Use a VOM, touch the pin inside the distributor, associated with the affected cylinder, and see if you have continuity through to the end of the spark plug wire. If all that checks out, perhaps check dist shaft for slop?

The only reason one cylinder wouldn't be firing is the result of either the cap, the rotor, the wire, or the spark plug. Those are really the only possibilities.
