Default 1997 accord shifter cable problem

Hi,

I have a 1997 honda accord 2.0 sohc engine automatic. Recently i changed my engine and transmission to f20b DOHC with still automatic tranny. My problem is the shifter linkage for some reason is shorter than with my sohc. Can i use the shifter cable coming from a 2.2 accord? Is it longer? Someone said i should get the cable from an H22 engine. If i found a prelude with h22 would that work?

TIA
