1996 Honda Accord - Raise Driver's Seat
Hello all,
Can the driver's seat be raised about 1" to 2" without compromising safety? There was a thread in which a Prelude driver's seat was raised using longer bolts and spacers, but seems unstable. The reason I need to sit higher is reduce my right knee pain while driving. The 5th generation accord driver's and front passenger seats are really low, this is not noticed until you have low back pain (long story).
Maybe getting a seat cushion might be fastest and cheapest route.
Thanks

Used to build cop cars and we stuck stuff under the seat brackets all the time. Sometimes raising the seat 1/2 inch or so. If they'll hold the seat, person and all that equipment then just raising the seat a couple of inches should be fine. I would recommend getting the strongest bolts possible and using comparable nut as spacers as much as possible.
