1994 accord ticking noise while accelerating??
my 94 accord ex 4cyl vtec is making a ticking/rapping noise somewhere from the engine compartment only while accelerating. car has 135k and don't know much about the mechanics of it. having a hard time locating the exact culprit. i'm guessing it can't be the valves due to no noise while running still. also i have checked the exhaust and heat shields and nothing there. could the timing belt or pulley be giving this noise?? all help is greatly appreciated.

look under the hood and have somebody step on the gas and see if you can't narrow it down to a specific area.

valves are not the problem, and i've looked over the exhaust and don't see where it can be coming from. does this car have a knock sensor or can the o2 sensor be causing this?
