Ugh...
So i purchased a 91 accord ex for the winter, and i recently replaced the tcu that went bad a few months ago with a used one from ebay. Car ran perfect shifted thru all gears and downshifted perfect, then we had a heatwave and one day i noticed that the s light came on then after a few seconds it would turn off and the car still shifted fine. Now when i start the car the light either stays on for a few seconds then goes off or just goes off with the CEL, but as soon as i put it into gear the s light flashes. The car shifts from 1st to 3rd by itself without manually shifting it when i pull the code the tcu gives me code 7(7 blinks half second apart then pause and starts over). So i read somewhere that its the shift solenoid A so i replaced both solenoids and still get the problem. But i read somewhere that when the s light blinks continously that theres a problem with the output and input from or to the tcu from the shift solenoid. Also the tcu i bought from ebay looked alittle beatup could the extreme heat from those days prematuredly burnt out the tcu
