1990 Accord Fuel Leak
Hi I am new to this forum and was hoping someone might be able to help me with a problem. My 1990 Accord EX started to sputter like it was running out of gas when I started from a stopped position. It would also backfire a bit from under the car. I would let off of the gas pedal then push it again and it would stop. I thought I would change the fuel filter first to see if that helped but now I have created another problem. I bent the flared of the line that goes from the filter to the tank. I was able to straighten it out and get it back into the filter but now it leaks very badly. Can I repair the line at that point or would I need to replace it? Also has anyone had the other problem that got me into this mess? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1990 Accord Fuel Leak
you can allways cut that line, slip rubber fuel hose over it and put hose clamps on each end. But thats not the right way to do things, Maybe to get you by for a few days but if it where my car I would replace the line.
Can you post pictures?

Re: 1990 Accord Fuel Leak
There is a Honda junkyard not far from me. I was thinking maybe getting the flanged end I need for the fuel filter side and splicing it in with some high pressure rubber hose but I didn't want to start a fire. I know it's not the right way to fix it but so far I haven't found a new line at any parts stores.
