18" wheel problems
I recently purchased 18 X 7.5 Axis Se7en wheels for my 98 Accord. They have an offset of 42. To my surprise the front wheels stick out of the fender slightly. What are my options to resolve this problem? Is there a camber kit or can the camber be adjusted to correct this? I wanted to lower the car, but it doesn't look like I will be able to because of the wheel offset. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Re: 18" wheel problems (FAZ98Accord)
the only way to move them back would be with a higher offset....
but with a 7.5" rim...you're probabaly going to have clearance issues with other parts of the suspension if you go with a higher offset

Your problem is not your offset (for the most part), its the fact that you have 18x7.5 inch wheels. Accords werent meant for 18x7.5.

Re: 18" wheel problems (Escobar)
Re-read my post. I didnt say 18's or 19's wont fit. I just said its not the ideal situation, and the car was never designed for it. I'm having problems with my 15x6.5's for christs sake.

No matter what Accord you have, even a 6th gen will only be good (relative term) with 17x7 like those of the Type-S Acura's. Any biger and you begin to look at aspect ratio, ride confort, rim condition, and weight problems.

Re: 18" wheel problems (FAZ98Accord)
my se7ens were 8" wide and they fit perfectly on my car with a 45mm offset. Technically you could machine the inside of the rim away a few mm until they sat exactly where you wanted them to. When i first got the rims from Axis, the box had a different offset than i had requested, so i called them up. They informed me that the rim started at the offset on the box and was machined to 45mm as i had asked for. good luck tho... (and nice choice of wheels )

It's all in the offset.
My friend Jeff got 19x8's on his 96 Accord. It fits fine. No rub... and he's got nice tuck in the front too.
