Default 02 accord ex idling question

Hi everyone. Wanted to get some opinions as to what my next move should be. For the past month my 02 accord has been idling weird almost like its surging but its still driveable just extremely annoying. So first i change the spark plugs/wires (doesnt fix it) then i take it and get Oreillys to run diagnostics the guy tells me i am dealing with a 3 cylinder misfire that i should replace the distributor cap and rotor button so i do but that doesnt fix it either. The car seems to be more responsive now when i accellerate but it is still missing/idling funny almost like the engine is shivering. The car has right around 162,000 miles is a 5 speed and up to this point has been very reliable so before i consider trading her in id like to see if this sounds like a simple fix or not. Thoughts?

Default Re: 02 accord ex idling question

an '02 that has a cap and rotor....I can then assume it is a four cyl. Then I'll assume the ONLY code given is a P0303.

It could be simple or complex. First thing I would do is a compression check/test. If the numbers come back good (#3 is the main one), then I would call it simple.
