01 Accord EX Cranks but won't start
Hello, my accord recently stopped started, and the car actually died on the road when this problem started yesterday. The car will crank, and occasionally start, but then dies after a few seconds. Is this the fuel pump dying? I also have a bunch of Check engine lights related to both 02 sensors, the TPS, and the IACV.

No code reader, 10 codes all unspecific and dealing with maybe 3 parts, insufficient tools, I can replace a fuel pump, but anything else will be a struggle.

did the car die at idle or while driving?
try and start it with the throttle somewhat open. if it starts up your iacv could be dirty and need a cleaning.
tps I wouldn't worry about too much. unless it came unplugged those rarely take a ****.
o2 sensors would be the last thing to check seeing as they are the most expensive.
but, I would start with cleaning the iacv and if the problem persists then move on.
like ghost said start with the codes the car is telling you.

The car initially died while driving down the road. I have already replaced the Iacv with a good, clean one since the old one was stuck wide open.

fuel pump you would think would be the hardest/ most time consuming. I may be wrong but on cg you have to remove complete rear subframe to gain access to fuel pump.
jump terminals 8 and 13 to get the codes. do it on the data link connector just above hood release.
. _______8
_____13____ in this fashion.
read it as if looking at it like this. with broader edge on bottom ( trapezoid).
record the flashes from cel to obtain codes and get back.

could very well be. im sure there is a write up on here somewhere about re- soldering the back of the relay.
disconnect battery.
pull the relay from underdash.
carefully pry it apart.
carefully inspect solder joints underneath breadboard.
if there is so much as a crack in any joint, re-solder if you can. its really easy.
then reinstall, connect battery and start her up.
hopefully that helped

Can the main relay cause the plugs to not get spark? The car is currently at a shop, and they put a new coil on but with no improvement. They think it is a short in the system somewhere.

There are procedures for checking voltage to the coil... A shop should not just be throwing parts at this issue. If they say that they are just going to start replacing parts get your car out of there now.
Is the fuel pump priming when you first turn the key on? Have they checked voltage to the coil and main relay?

First shop couldn't figure it out, and it wasn't the coil so we took it back off. Had it towed to Honda to let them figure it out. They called us back 3 hours later to tell us it was a loose ground on the intake manifold. Going to pick up the car tomorrow and bring it home to fix the slave cylinder. I'm eager to see where this ground is for future reference. Will report back for any curious people with this problem.

Did you do any work to the car b4 this happened? grounds rarely come loose on there own .usually they get loosened when work is done and someone for got to tighten it

I replaced the engine a couple weeks back. Must have forgotten to tighten this one and couldn't see it from above the engine.
