Default How bad is pho for you?

Click the image to open in full size. I'm an addict. Pho is the one food I cannot give up, and I've given up white rice even though I have been eating it all through my childhood. Pho has red meat, alot of it, along with rice noodles. Does anyone have an idea how many calories, carbs, fat and sodium a "normal" sized pho contains? I guess I can make this my one "cheat" meal of the week, but I don't know if it's healthy at all for me. Thanks guys Click the image to open in full size.

Inhierently (SP) I think pho is very healthy: protein, vegetables, grains, but the sodium content has got to be off the hook as afforementioned. Additionally, as also mentioned, everyone has their own pho recipies so it can vary. My special lady friend is Vietnamese and we used to eat pho a lot. This kind of pho was pretty healthy so we ate it like 3-4 times a week.

I think the healthiest Asian food you can eat is cooked/raw Japanese food. Sushi, udon, soba, donburi, bento boxes, etc. Japanese food, by nature, is extremely healthy.

I hate you Click the image to open in full size.

Pho isn't bad. Like everything that goes with food. Moderation. If your trying to cut nothing beats cardio at least 3 times a week 30 mins.

Werd. It's all in the broth. The noodles and meats themselves are healthy. And moderation is the key.

Shoo, I'm gonna bug the s/o to make me some pho for dinner tonight! Click the image to open in full size. Click the image to open in full size.

Spring rolls and pho is a great combination.

Yeah.. obviously its the broth that contains all that sodium. I never drink that stuff anyways.

Haha, you guys are to funny. Like 95% of people on this board are asian and I always forget that unless we are talking about food or girls hahaha. Luckily I love asian food and women Click the image to open in full size.

And how could you ever be sick of sushi? Click the image to open in full size. I guess if I owned a sushi place I might get sick of it as well.

I wouldn't give up Pho completely if I were you. Just prepare it in a way that make its healthier for you.
