Tough choice.
2000 db8 with original gsr motor.
should i drop a type-r motor in it?
Or keep original motor and tranny?

Good platform to start with that's for sure.. I'd get rid of that ugly pinstripe and switch up the front lip to a more OEM look a like. Hate how 98+ ITR replica lips flare out on the ends. Looks cheesy. Look into ABS Dynamics.. Best USDM itr front rep lip I've seen..

Re: DB Squad.....for the Teggers with 2 extra doors
Well you'd be wrong. How much do you think the rear bumper weighs anyway? An insignificant amount of weight savings compared to the aerodynamic benefit found on real racecars that make turns.

Re: DB Squad.....for the Teggers with 2 extra doors
u mean like speedfactory drag cars? they make lots of turns...
and cutting parts off doesn't make the frame more aerodynamic. covering it with a properly designed diffuser will do a better job than exposing the oem underbody with all its cavities and uneven surfaces.
and its a stock type-r I already have a 2 liter b series built for my other car this is a daily lol

[QUOTE=DBiNfEcTeD*;50280832]Why not both? I would do it.. Better yet, keep the GSR if healthy and build a separate Bseries block that can make more hp than an ITR...

Hey, I owned both versions of the R at the same time, for some reason I preferred the 1.6L version of it.

Re: DB Squad.....for the Teggers with 2 extra doors
Mods skunk2 intake manifold, tb, springs, and short shifter.
Civic si wheels. Type r lip cams, pistons, cluster, shift boot, clock delete, vents, climate control, and center console.
Apexi ws2 exhaust, dc sports 4-1 header, jdm earth ground cable, and Kyb 4way struts.
It just looks stock. But it's far from it dyno at 230 whp.

Re: DB Squad.....for the Teggers with 2 extra doors
you know those si wheels are the heaviest oem wheels.
change to some lighter wheels and you will feel even more of that power
even going from 17 lb wheel to 10 lb wheel feels like a massive change in power

If in the event that you're making 230hp to the wheels with nothing more than R cams, pistons, s2 manifold and tbody, Ws2 exhaust, and DC 4-1's, by far you have the ultimate B-series engine ever. You should roll on over to the All Motor forum and share some of your secrets. I'm sure you would impress most of them with your hp output on such modest upgrades.

Re: DB Squad.....for the Teggers with 2 extra doors
you would need something like pro2 cams and 13:1 compression to get 230 out of 1.8 liter and probably not with skunk2 manifold
