Hahah, no worries. I'm sure you'll make it there before I do. I have some small dents on the quarter panel I want to get taken care of before I start modding this car. Gonna do things the right way this time around.
Wait, the moldings are just on top of the bumper? I've never seen SiR bumpers in person, always assumed they had indentations like the doors did. Crazy.
Picked up some good OEM stuff for maintenance this weekend. Gonna put in some fresh MTF and coolant, hopefully find a good deal on oil before Friday. Decided an OEM oil filter wouldn't hurt either.

Oh yeah, my radiator and resoivor both have that old green coolant that Honda used to use. I was just planning on emptying those two and refilling with the new blue coolant - is there any problems with mixing the two? Should I try to flush out the system with some distilled water before adding the new coolant?
Also, just mentioning that I'm doing all this just because I'm not sure the last time it was all done. Car runs great as is.
Thanks in advance.

You can ask the local dealer if they will price match. Mine will do part plus shipping and it still comes out less than retail.

I paid $38 and change for the two quarts of MTF, coolant, and oil filter. Not sure how that ranks with other dealers but I didn't want to wait for shipping since I have a four day weekend starting Friday.

Does the part number end with A02 or A01? Also they say filtech or Honeywell on them. The Honeywell version is equivalent to Fram TG filters, the gray version.

Filter ends in A02. Are these good filters for a DD? Never really used anything other than Fram or Bosch in the past.

They are fine. Definitely better than the Fram oranges. Next time you buy one ask for the Filtech at the Honda parts counter, they should have them. They ship randomly, my local guy puts them aside but I bought a few on the line.

In other news, found a junkyard car that's about two hours away that has a perfectly good front end that happens to be white as well. I'm hoping to score the hood and front grill for under $200. I thought about getting the front bumper too but since I'll be getting SiR bumpers later this year, I could live with a cracked bumper a little longer. Hopefully they still have the parts Monday when I'm able to drive out.

Man.. learned a lot from you guys already haha. Do you think I'll run into any issues using this A02 filter for the first 5k miles? I'll be sure to get something different next time around. Just assumed OEM would be best.

Cool. Thanks man.
In other news, I decided against buying the hood, grill, and front bumper after visiting an old friend who owns his body shop. Quoted me $500 to fix the dent on the hood, the dents on the 1/4, and respray front and rear bumpers. Junkyard wanted $300 for the hood, grill, and bumper. Good thing I waited!

Junkyards are definitely more expensive out here. I was a little thrown off the first time I walked up to the counter at the local LKQ. Serviceable front end parts tend to be hard to come by anywhere though.

The filters are not bad at all. It is just different.

Gotcha
Everything went smooth today. Drain bolt wasn't stripped or rounded, so that made me happy. Fill bolt for the tranny was pretty damn stuck though. Not sure if it was every changed before, came out looking just as bad as the engine oil did. Also flushed out radiator and filled back up with the new blue coolant. Everything ran great afterwards
Hopefully later today I could run to AutoZone to buy a toggle switch and some wiring. Car doesn't doesn't have an alarm at the moment and while parking my wife's car in front of it at night helps me sleep a little, a kill switch will do a little better until I could afford a full alarm setup.
Gotta pickup some silicone lube for the window tracks too, they're a little slow going up and down.

Hey guys quick question, I am looking to install a racing seat bracket to have a lower seating postion.
2 x Racing Seat Seats Mounting Brackets Rail Track Civic EJ EK EH Integra DB DC | eBay
Based on this ebay listing and others i noticed they fit only 2/3 Door Civic.
Why would this fit the 2/3 Door and Not the 4 Doors ?

I was a bit skeptical about the price/quality..hmmm
i currently have EK9 rails on my recaro, and being 6 3" tall they do have a high seating position.
The other option would be Bride RO rails but $$$
