Congrats on the HPD gig man. As a master of the understatement I will say, "that's a big deal".

It needs the throw out bearing replaced but it's not bad really. The headliner is trash and the fenders were replaced I'm guessing from a junkyard car because the previous ones were keyed up from the p.o.s neighborhood. I'm going to plastidip them until I get time to paint it myself or get a Maaco once over paint job. It doesn't have any rust either.

So far I've ordered:
Window visors
Rear window visor
Clutch kit
Head gasket kit- just to do for peace of mind and it's easy lol
Timing belt kit -100k service
Coilovers by Raceland - just for a drop and slightly stiffer handling. The stock suspension is perfect so if I'm unhappy I'll go back to that and save for something better.

Wouldn't mess with the head gasket. Timing belt kit should set you straight.

for you cali guys who did referee before.

so i took my car to state referee and it failed due to several reasons, car is 1997 honda civic with obd2 1997 gsr swap.

one of the problems is that my charcoal canister the oem stock 97 civic canister, http://www.team-integra.net/sections...f24b07def9.jpg (but its obd2 with the solenoid on top with 2 connections) he says its not the right one huh?!?

he says i need one from the integra which he even printed me out a picture. its the one with 3 connections up top, 3 lines, one that goes to fuel line., evap sensor and one goes on the throttle body??? but isnt that an obd1 connection?? and my obd2 throttle body dont have that.
http://s173.photobucket.com/user/Dst...agram.jpg.html

I did research and there is a 1996-1997 charcoal canister that only has 2 connections up top.

So what should i do? I already have the canister with 3 lines, should i just plug the one that goes to tb? or just bridge that line with the one that goes to the evap sensor? lol suggestions?

Hey guys. Haven't posted in awhile. Nothing really new. Just a few minor parts here and there.

And I know it's not Function7 or any of the better brands, but it's my daily. figured...why not. they look the same. haha. Put the ASR rear sway on.

Def need to make a decision on my motor though. Idk whether to just put headstuds and boost it at 6-8 lbs. (stock y8) or source a decently priced swap. I'm back and forth on this for about 2-3 months now. lol

I wouldn't boost a single cam unless it's really healthy and has low miles on it. If it's a daily, I'd say a b20 with Si or GSR tranny would be just as fun but more reliable.

^^ so assuming those 2 vacuum lines lead to the evap sensor on top of manifold, then bridging/connecting them would be the best solution.

there should not be a line going to the tb... where do you have the line off the vent shut valve going? dont think capping it will fly...

Mystery ? for you guys. A couple weeks ago I swapped out the passenger rear door lock actuator because it wasn't working. Yesterday the driver rear started working, which hasn't since the FIL gave me last May. Hmmm, any of ideas?

on the obd1 or canister with 3 outlets, it doesnt come with on the top, its on the bottom. i just bridged/connected the 2 of the outlets to the evap solenoid on top of the intake manifold

this is the canister he told me to use.

Yes its about time they had someone who knew what they were doing/saying up in there. We had a local (annual Honda temecula dealership) meet last year and invited HPD people with their new Fit in full HPD spec.
Needless to say, we didnt learn nothing from them. They actually were asking us questions about kseries/swaps, etc...
Like it was their first time hearing/seeing such thing...
So yeah, show them whats up!

Or maybe they sent us mailroom guys

Thanks guys! It is a pretty big deal, I'm still trying to process it all. My end goal, and the reason I got into engineering, has always been to work in motorsports. It's really tough to get your foot in the door, to be potentially going to work for a large company like Honda is a gigantic step. It's going to be a tough, stressful job, and it's going to be tough for the lady to adjust to me not being around during race season, but she knew when we started that this was where we were headed. Put it this way... they recommend that I worry more about being close to the airport than close to the shop when looking at places to live.

It's not 100% official yet, they are still doing all the background checks and reference checking before the offer comes through, but they called me two hours after the interview was over and basically told me to spend the rest of last weekend deciding where I'd like to live.

As far as being a bit out of touch with the tuner culture, I kind of get it. I think I'm one of the exceptions to the rule in that business as a whole. Race car guys are usually very centric to whatever they typically work on, especially with the Indy guys. Their heads have to be so completely filled with the technology that they work with that the street stuff is barely on their radar.

Yeah, it's at like 170K. Runs strong though. But I think i'm gonna lean towards a LSVtec swap. Seen the potential of what it can do and around my area, I can source the parts easily.

On a different note, would anyone be selling or know anyone or any place that would have the DR-54's 15x8.25 +15 full polished? I've been looking for awhile now, but no go but figured I'd ask here.

i just didnt plug the plug and it hasnt shown a cel yet drove about 80ish miles so far. its funny because the 1996-1997 integra gsr did come with a 2 outlet obd2 canister but im just following what he told me to do so i can pass lol.
