Default Why won't my laptop screen show up on the TV ?

My roomates laptop works just fine. We will plug in the s-video cord to the tv and his laptop and it will show up as soon as he closes his laptop.

Mine won't work however. It's an HP zv5000 if that helps. I will plug in the s-video and close the laptop then open it and nothing happens. Can someone help me out? Thanks guys Click the image to open in full size.

Try to reboot it while connected to the tv. There should be a Fn button on F4 maybe to toggle between modes. It looks like it has two monitors on the function button.
