Default What do 'Red-Light Cameras' look like?

Today I was stopped at a wierd 3 lane intersection waiting to take a left. After about 30 seconds the 2 lanes to the right of me turned green and for whatever reason I took off thinking mine turned green too. Click the image to open in full size. So I had to gun it before the oncoming traffic went.

So now I'm thinking I might be getting a fine in the mail, but dont know if that intersection had one of those red-light cameras or not. Are they big + easy to recognize or are they real small and hidden somewhere? I want to go back and see if it has it or not... Anyone?

They are mounted right on top of the trafic lights.

They sit atop the traffic light, or on the side poles, aimed at the intersection. They should only go off if you enter on a red.

Most have flashes, if it was dark out that should be obvious.

In my town, there are about a dozen sites where they can be installed, but the town only has 3 actual cameras. They are rotated at random. (You wouldnt know if the housing actually contained a camera.)

Up here in Washington, they have a sensor on the traffic light pole. But then if there are street lights around the intersection, there are usually cameras ontop of those at all four corners looking at the intersection. Click the image to open in full size.

320?! Shoot, I'd fight that one. I went back to the intersection, and I DID notice one of those cameras(fairly big and long) just one intersection ahead of me on a light post! It looked like it might have been facing the other way though...

Man I dont feel like waiting in the mail for some BS fine. Where can I go tomorrow to ask if it got me or not??? Do the local police handle it or is somebody else?
